Mail-In Repair Terms and Conditions

By agreeing to the terms and conditions, you grant permission to GEKKOTECH COMPUTER SERVICES to perform any action deemed necessary in an attempt to repair your device. Furthermore, I release GEKKOTECH COMPUTER SERVICES from any liability for any data loss which may occur, or component failures occurring during attempted repair, testing, or at any other time, including damage that arises due to third party components being installed in your device (non-genuine Apple parts). GEKKOTECH COMPUTER SERVICES is not responsible for loss of profit or any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damage occurring during or after device service. 

You agree that you are the owner of the device being repaired and that you are responsible for paying for all incurred charges associated with diagnostics and repair of your device. You agree to pay a diagnostic fee of $29.99 plus applicable taxes and shipping for declined repair quotes. If a repair quote is declined, the un-repaired device will be returned to you after payment is received for all outstanding balances.

Your device service might be covered by warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+. The following requested personal information (name, address, telephone number and email address) are necessary to proceed with the request for service. If the service is requested pursuant to a third party service obligation, such information will be transferred to the third party for verification and quality purposes, including confirming the service transaction and submitting a customer survey.


You must arrange for the shipping and packaging of your product to GekkoTech’s repair service location, as described at the time of ordering, and you may want to consider insuring your package in case of damage or loss during shipment. Once service is complete, GekkoTech's repair service location will send an invoice for payment of the repair service and applicable return shipping fees. This invoice can be paid online. Your device will not be shipped from GekkoTech's repair service location until payment is completed. You can send your product to the following address:

Q. How long will repair take?

A. Once we receive your device, repair can take 5-7 business days after the final quote is approved. Once payment is received for all services performed and return shipping fees, we will ship your repaired device back to you.


Q. Why does a Find My activation lock need to be removed before repair?

A. In order to prove ownership of the device being serviced, we cannot proceed with repair until the Find My activation lock is removed. This is to ensure that we are not repairing or replacing lost or stolen devices.


Q. Why do I need to erase my iPhone before sending it for repair? Can I just provide the passcode to you?

A. In order to maintain data privacy, and to ensure your personal information remains safe, we require all devices to be erased before sending to us for repair. 


Q. Why should I mail my device to you for repair, instead of bringing it in person?

A. We offer mail-in service as an additional option for customers. Sometimes, the cost of travel is greater than shipping costs for some of our customers. We wanted to make it easier and more affordable for some of our customers to obtain service with us. Q. My device is not listed when creating a mail-in repair?

A. At this time, we are only offering mail-in repairs for select devices and issues. In the future, we may add more options.
