If your battery needs replacement, we can repair or replace your iPad for a battery service fee. There's no fee if your battery is defective and your iPad is covered by warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+. The Apple Limited Warranty doesn’t cover wear from normal use.
If you have AppleCare+ for iPad, it offers replacement coverage if your iPad battery holds less than 80 percent of its original capacity.
There is the possibility that we may need to mail your device in to Apple's repair depot for service depending on diagnostics results. Repair turnaround time may take up to 10 days.
Before bringing in for repair
- Back up your device, either with iCloud or iTunes
- Turn off Find My iPad
- Bring any chargers and accessories that may be part of the issue
